Charles “Pat” Bogard, 68 of Murray, Ky., died Jan. 31, 2011, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. He was the stepfather of David Davis of Union City.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Murray Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Boyd Smith officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home in Murray.
He was born March 11, 1942, in Calloway County, Ky., son of the late Noman and Mamie (Underwood) Bogard. A member of First Baptist Church of Murray, he was a retired route salesman who had been employed for 33 years with Bunny Bread.
He is also survived by his wife, Beverly (Thomas) Bogard, whom he married June 20, 1979, in Calloway Co.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tammi and Jimmy Burgess of Brewers, Ky., and Tina and Randy Wright of Murray; his stepdaughter and her husand, Sherri and Keith Miller of Murray; another stepson and two daughters-in-law, Doug and Patty Davis of Arab, Ala., and Bobbie Davis of Union City; and seven grandchildren, Garret Wright, Sloane Wright, Ryan Miller and Alex Miller, all of Murray, Zach Davis and Jessie Davis, both of Arab, and Matt Barnett of Jackson.
He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Bill Darnell and Gene Bogard.
