Completed arrangements are being announced for the Rev. Ronald W. Nash, 70, of Clarksville, who died Jan. 25, 2011, at the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro. He was a former resident of Obion County.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at White & Mahon Funeral Home in Troy, with the Rev. James Gunter and Jim Stone officiating. Burial will follow in Triangle Cemetery in Troy.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the hour of services at the funeral home Friday.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Nash, Larry Miller, Cameron Miller, Ty McManis, Bud Garrison and Marty Yannaccone.
He was born July 21, 1940, in Union City, son of the late William E. and Christine (Bramlett) Nash. He married the former Barbara Ann Hart June 25, 1977. She died Oct. 27, 2008. He was a retired Cumberland Presbyterian minister and had started his ministry at Woodward’s Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Obion. He then spent 13 years as the pastor of Protemus Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Troy and another 13 years as pastor of Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Clarksville. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving from November 1958-November 1961.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Larry Miller of Murfreesboro; his son and daughter-in-law, Jeremiah Lee and Betty Nash of Clarksville; his granddaughter, Brittany Miller of Murfreesboro; his grandson, Cameron Miller of Murfreesboro; and his brother, Donald W. Nash of Clarksville.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Camelia Ann Cole and Lavenia Garner.
