The public is invited to attend the quarterly meeting of the Palmersville Historical Society at 7 p.m. on Friday Jan. 28. The discussion topic will be “Palmersville in the 1940s.” Refreshments will be served. Also, the building will be open for visitors on Saturday, Jan. 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sidonia Fire Dept.
Sidonia Fire Department will hold their annual wild game supper on Saturday, Jan. 29 at South Gaylord Rd, south, off of Highway 89 between Sharon and Kenton.
They will start serving at 5 p.m. Donations to be paid at the door. They will serve rabbit, deer, chittlins, duck and dressing, beaver, coon with all the trimmings and desserts.
Everyone is invited to come.
Zumbathon to be
at Jackson State
The Student Nurses Association at Jackson State Community College has come up with a creative way to raise funds and promote health education at the same time. The club will host a Zumbathon on Saturday, Jan. 29 from 9-11 a.m. in the JSCC gym. The cost is $10.
Building off the wildly-popular fitness craze, Zumba, the club is hoping to raise some money for its activities and promote health at the same time. Zumba is a Latin-inspired dance-fitness program. The event is open to anyone at any age and at any fitness level. Participants do not have to know how to dance to come and join the party.

New Salem Baptist Church in the Austin Springs Community will hold 5th Sunday singing at 5:30 p.m., Jan. 30.
The featured singers will be the Hallelujah Singers from Cuba, Ky. There will be a fellowship meal after the evening service. Everyone is welcome to attend. Bro. Rick Walker is pastor.

Souper Lencheon will be served at Dresden United Methodist Church Sunday, Feb. 6 at noon. The event is sponsored by the church youth. Soup, chili, all the fixings, and football talk. Carry-outs will be available. Proceeds go to the building fund. Everyone is invited. For more info call 364-2419.
