Martin Fine Arts Club

The Martin Fine Arts Club met Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011 in the lovely home of Mrs. James Pritchett. Hostesses assisting were Mrs. Harold Clifton and Mrs. E.B. Pritchett. Sixteen members and one guest were served a dessert plate of five-flavor pound cake, mixed nuts, grapes and coffee.
Mrs. Bob Peeler welcomed everyone and called the meeting to order. The collect was recited and the minutes were read by secretary Mrs. Joe Exum. The treasurer’s report was given by Mrs. John Wall. At the conclusion of the business meeting, Mrs. G.T. Hall introduced Mrs. Linda DeBoard as speaker for the afternoon program. Mrs. DeBoard, Chief Executive Director for the Agape Medical Clinic, shared with club members pertinent information and needs regarding the clinic. The Agape House Pregnancy Care Center is committed to upholding the sanctity of human life by demonstrating unconditional love and support to anyone who has been or may be affected by an unplanned pregnancy.
Members in attendance not already mentioned were Mrs. James Cannon, Mrs. John Chester, Mrs. Lowell Fields, Mrs. Mike Hinds, Mrs. Morris Liming, Mrs. Lee Pritchett, Mrs. James Shore, Mrs. Sanford Truitt and Mrs. Fred Vowell.
The next meeting is scheduled for Feb. 2, 2011 at the Weldon Public Library.
