Republican Women

to hold meeting

Republican Women will meet Saturday, Jan. 22, atπ noon at the Headquarters in Downtown Martin for a “bring a dish up-date” meeting. Reports will be given of Gov. Haslam’s Inauguration Celebrations as well as plans for the future of the party. All members are encouraged and visitors are welcomed to attend.

A gospel singing featuring The Dildines will be held at Enon Baptist Church, Hwy 79 S., McKenzie at 6 p.m. on Jan. 30.

FPU classes will 

be held in Martin

Financial Peace University will hold classes at Martin First Assembly of God located at 201 Mt. Pelia Road in Martin. The classes will begin Sunday, Jan. 30  at 3 p.m.. Contact Gary Pilcher at 587-6349 for more information or to register.

The Weakley County Office on Aging/Dresden Senor Citizens Center invites everyone to an afternoon social at 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 14. Special Valentines will be served coffee, cake and ice cream. For more information call 364-5678.


Equestrian team

Westview FFA

to host bazaar

The University of Tennessee at Martin Equestrian Team and the Westview FFA will be hosting the first Northwest TN Indoor Bazaar Feb. 18-19. It will be held at the McWherter Agriculture Pavilion and Stalling Barn on the campus of UT-Martin. This event is open to venders of all kinds, small businesses and the public. Come sell your crafts, gifts and unwanted items. Clean out your closets, everyone’s slightly used treasures are welcome. Available are over 200 10ft x 10ft vender booths with lockable fronts. Larger spots are available upon request. Early registration by Feb. 1 is just $20. Also available are tables, electricity, RV hookups and concessions. General admission for buyers is just $1 and door prizes will be given out throughout the weekend. Doors open from 6-9 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday. Washington trip

set for spring

The Dresden Senior Center Presents Washington DC’s Cherry Blossom Time March 28 – April 2, and would like to invite you to join them on this beautiful tour. This is a six-day and five-night trip that will be very interesting especially since it is during the Cherry Blossom season. They will depart from the Dresden Senior Center, 589 Evergreen St. Dresden, at 7 a.m. on March 28 and travel to Roanoke, Va., staying overnight at the Holiday Inn Express. Tour will be traveling with Brantley Bus Line in a deluxe motorcoach and will arrive in Washington, DC for a wonderful week consisting of numerous Historic Places. Branson show

The Martin Senior Adult Center presents the Branson Show Extravaganza. They are now taking reservations for an April 11-15 trip. This trip will include motor coach transportation, lodging, eight meals, four breakfasts and four dinners. The $449 price also includes seven Branson shows. Brochures can be picked up at the center.
