Completed arrangements are being announced for Troy Poole, 75, of Union City, formerly of Hornbeak, who died at 6:15 p.m. Jan. 17, 2011, at his home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dale Batchelor officiating. Burial will follow in Troy at Terrace Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be Scott Grimes, Andy Grimes, Jackie Grimes, Stephen Morris, Chuck Goetz and Timmy Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Huey, Robert Wallace, Mike Madding, Charles Harris, Todd Mitchell and Larry Mitchell Jr.
He was born April 24, 1935, in Fayette County, son of the late Jim Clarence and Grace (Rigsby) Poole. He married the former Patsy Grimes May 30, 1958. She survives. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran with 20 years of service and he had retired from Kohler after 17 years of employment.
He was a member of Hornbeak Pentecostal Church.
Survivors also include his sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Jack Dutton of Union City; his brother, Gerald Poole of Joliet, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his son, James Edward Poole; and his twin brother, Roy Poole.
