Completed arrangements are being announced for Edna Loyd, 94, of Union City, who died Jan. 18, 2011, at her home.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ashland (Ohio) Cemetery. The Rev. John Guliano will officiate.
The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home 5-8 p.m. today.
She was born May 28, 1926, in Glenmont, Ohio, daughter of the late Hershel and Flora (Miller) Jones. She married George Loyd Jan. 10, 1948. He died July 21, 1973. She had been the owner and operator of the former Edna’s Beauty Salon in Ashland and was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Ashland.
She was a longtime member of the former Fireside Sewing Club and she enjoyed making afghans and quilts and doing embroidery.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Pete Parker of Union City; three step-grandsons, David Parker and Dwight Parker, both of Akron, Ohio, and Gregory Parker of Plano, Texas; and three step-great-grandchildren, Joshua Parker, Mariah Parker and Anna Parker, all of Plano.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Jones and Glen Jones.
