Two businesses have reported thefts to the Union City Police Department.
Terry Cooper with Cooper Electric told police on Friday someone had emptied three barrels which had been filled with 250-300 pounds of scrap copper.
The barrels were located behind his building. The scrap copper is worth $750.
On Monday, Eddie Campbell of Campbell’s Tool & Die reported two axles, a five-speed transmission and a transfer case taken from behind his building between Thursday at 7 a.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m.
The items were valued at $1,050.
