The Rev. William Lee Taylor, 77, of Murfreesboro died Jan. 14, 2011. He had been the pastor at Union City Baptist Temple from 1974-81.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Franklin Road Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, with Dr. Mike Norris officiating. A graveside service, with military rites, will follow at 1 p.m. at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Pegram.
Friends may call at the church from 9-11 a.m. Friday. Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro is in charge of arrangements.
He was a retired pastor and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Franklin Road Baptist Church and was a native of Onondaga, Mich.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce (Warner) Taylor; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Vivian Taylor of Buford, Ga., and Stephen and Lisa Taylor of Taiwan; three daughters and his son-in-law, Dawn Walker of Nashville, Jann and Steven McDonald of Antioch and Susanne Taylor of Dickson; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Robert Taylor of Lake Comma, Mich., and Kendall Taylor of Petoskey, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Leah (Jones) Taylor.
