Josephine T. Vollmer, 67, of Port Saint Lucie, Fla., died Jan. 16, 2011, at Treasure Coast Hospice in Fort Pierce, Fla. She was the mother of David Kay of Union City.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Yates Funeral Home in Port Saint Lucie, with interment at All Saints Cemetery in Jensen Beach, Fla.
Visitation will be at the funeral home today from 4-8 p.m.
Mrs. Vollmer was born March 28, 1943, in Huntland and moved to Port Saint Lucie from Chicago in 1980. She had worked as the food and beverage director for Indian River Plantation.
She is also survived by her husband of 29 years, Charles Vollmer; her daughter, Anita Peltier of Port Saint Lucie; another son, Daniel Kay of Port Saint Lucie; her daughter-in-law, Sarah Kay of Union City; 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Lee Mallett.
