Alma Odessa “Tootsie” Rhodes, 86, of Tiptonville, died Jan. 13, 2011, at Reelfoot Manor Nursing Home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wynnburg Baptist Church, with the Rev. Chip Davis officiating. Burial will be in Lake Memorial Gardens. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. today at the church.
Pallbearers will be David Roberson, Randy Roberson, Terry Roberson, Stephen Ross, Sherrell Armstrong, David Armstrong, Frank Gardner Roberson, Dave Roberson, Leon Roberson, Tommy Roberson, Tom Makin and Aaron Smith.
The family requests that memorials may be directed to Wynnburg Baptist Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
She was a retired bookkeeper for Roberson Bro. Lumber Co., Ross & Son Furniture Co. and Tiptonville First Baptist Church and was a lifelong member of the Baptist church. She had been previously married to Lyman Rhodes. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Diane Rhodes of Tiptonville; her sister, Imogene Ross of Martin; two brothers, Odie Leon “Buddy” Roberson and Thomas Gardner Roberson, both of Hornbeak; two grandchildren and their spouses, Jim and Michelle Rhodes and Ashleigh and Mike Matteson; and five great-grandchildren, Trey Rhodes, Jennifer Matteson, Christopher Matteson, William Matteson and Hailey Rhodes.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Odie B. and Odessa “Dessie” Roberson; two sisters, Artie Smith and Lucille Weaver; and three brothers, Ilar Roberson, Toy Roberson and Carl Roberson.
