MPD investigates business break-ins

The Martin Police Department is requesting help in obtaining any information relating to recent burglaries of local businesses.

The first occurred on the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 5 at 3:42 a.m. Officers were on patrol and observed damage to the front door of the Tobacco Barn on 342 N. Lindell St. 

The officers entered the business and found damage to a coin entertainment machine and an undetermined amount of cash was reportedly taken from the cash registers.

The following Tuesday, Jan. 11 at approximately 3:11 a.m., officers were summoned to Sudden Service at 509 N. Lindell St. by an alarm. When officers arrived they noticed the front glass door had been shattered, but found nothing disturbed inside the building.
