The Obion County Public Library, located at 1221 East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City, will be closed Monday in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The library will reopen for regular business hours on Tuesday.
A Writing Club interest meeting is planned for 10 a.m.-noon Saturday at the library. There is no cost or expense to become a member of the club and it is open to students from fifth grade through adults.
To develop writing skills as an activity you enjoy or to begin a new hobby related to writing, visit the library for this first session. The club will be led by Timothy Brady, business editor for Penton Business Publications and a published author, and Terri Jenkins-Brady, an editor and published author with Berkeley Penguin Group NY.
