Bro. Kenneth led our Wednesday evening Bible study in Hebrews 2:14-18, “Christ Secures the Victory To Mankind.” He delivered man by willingly becoming a man, added human nature to His divine nature, He delivers mankind b dying for us and He destroyed the powers of the devil over death for man. If you enjoy a good Bible study, join us each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Sunday school began with the study in I Kings 16:29-22, 53, “A Hill On Which To Stand.” As we take bold stands for the Lord, He will help us stand boldly for Him amid pressures to conform to the World. God will strengthen us to continue His work.

Our morning worship service began with Bobby and the musicians leading the choir singing, “I’ll Go With God.” Bro. Kenneth made the announcements and took prayer requests. We have several out sick with the flu and pneumonia and other ailments. Bro. Kenneth led in prayer for Joe Insco, Margaret Taylor, Nadine Ransom, Betty Hunt, Beverly Leyhue; Phyliss Stout, who had leg surgery and improving slowly. We have praise for answered prayers; Bro. Kenneth’s mother, who is recovering well from her surgery; good to see Don Jones able to be back with us and Jean; Laura Rose isn’t doing well and is scheduled for a checkup this week at Vanderbilt in Nashville; Maxine Garner and Max Price are both receiving treatments in Jackson for eye aliments; and Fred Hunt was added to our prayer list. We trust all these will be blessed with a speedy recovery. You are missed so much.

We had a time of greeting one another and welcoming our visitors. We are so blessed by your presence and welcome you back anytime. God is great and greatly to be praised!

Special music by Janice and Bro. Kenneth singing “Rock Of Ages – Hide Thou Me,” doing a good job with a good message.

Bro. Kenneth’s message was “Becoming Like Christ” from Philippians 2:12-13. How does Jesus change your life? It’s a combination of both God and you. It is God who works in you. Salvation – very personal.

Thought for the week: “God loves us just the way we are, but He loved us too much to leave us that way.”
