The Obion County Public Library is planning fun with a library lock-in Jan. 14 starting at 7 p.m. at the library at 1221 East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City. The event will end Jan. 15 at 7 a.m.
Children from 9-12 years old are invited to enjoy Wii games, movies, a scavenger hunt, a dance party, board games, pizza and snacks, ghost stories and roasted marshmallows (fireside), hide-and-go-seek games and a dress-up contest for girls.
Those attending are reminded to bring a sleeping bag and pillow for movie viewing (organizers say there will be no sleeping); snacks to share; music and games to share; makeup, polish and accessories for the dress-up event for girls; and a good attitude, according to organizers.
Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Call 885-7000 to sign up.
