“God’s Storehouse,” a food ministry of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church at 720 East College St. in Union City, will pre-register for the Jan. 20 mobile food pantry Monday and Tuesday from 1-4:30 p.m. and on Jan. 17, 18 and 19 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the church.
Clients are screened using the agency’s income guidelines. Everyone must present proof of residency and proof of income for all adults in a household. Only one adult per household will be eligible to register. Precautions are taken to assure that each client receives an appropriate supply of food and is receiving food for that person’s use or their family’s use.
On Jan. 20, food will be issued to pre-registered households before any new registrations are taken.
The mobile pantry is operated under the agency’s 501(c)(3) exemption in collaboration with Mid-South Food Bank. As always, food is distributed free of charge, without discrimination, on a first-come basis.
