Coming into their meeting with the host Dresden Lions, the Clarksburg Rockets sported an unblemished district record.

The Lady Lions made it a sweep via a 64-35 triumph.
In the boys game, Dresden came alive in the third quarter, pouring in 25 points. Ahead 34-31 at halftime, the Lions allowed Clarksburg to pull within a point, 41-40, on Devon Bailey’s trey and layup and a Jarvis Pearson 8-footer with 95 seconds off the clock.
From there, Lions Jacob Vallee and Tyler McPeak went to work. The pair scored or assisted on nine points in an 11-2 run. The duo also crashed the boards and came up with steals during the outburst that lifted Dresden to a 52-42 lead.
When the fourth quarter started, DHS was up by a dozen, 59-47. The lead peaked at 18, 74-54, on Dale Hutcherson’s free throw with 49 ticks left.
