Completed arrangements are being announced for Dorothy Beach, 87, of South Fulton, who died Jan. 4, 2011, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton, with the Rev. Rusty Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. Friday.
The family requests that memorials be made to First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) memorial fund, 108 Carr St., Fulton, KY 42041.
She was born March 26, 1923, in the Lynn Grove community in Graves County, Ky., daughter of the late Carl and Laura Kemp. She married Ray Beach Aug. 31, 1940, in Highland Park, Mich. He survives. The couple returned to this area following World War II and lived near Mayfield, Ky. They moved to Union City in the late 1950s and raised their family here for several years. They had also lived in East Tennessee before moving to South Fulton.
Mrs. Beach was an avid bridge player and quilter and also enjoyed golf, reading and working crossword puzzles. She was a member of First Christian Church in South Fulton.
Survivors also include four sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Ann Beach and Rick and Bronwyne Beach, all of Pensacola, Fla., David and Suzanne Beach of Destin, Fla., and Jim and Lynda Beach of Roseville, Calif.; her daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Rick Everett of Dresden; her sister, Faye Crawford of Hopkinsville, Ky.; and 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
