Minnie Bell (Morton) McCollum, 96, of Martin died Jan. 1, 2011, at Van Ayer Manor Nursing Home in Martin. She was the sister of Clay “Bill” Morton and Ava Lee Roberson, both of Troy, and the half sister of Marion Davis of Troy and Roland Davis of Samburg.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin, with burial following there in East Side Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. and on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until the hour of services.
She was born March 1, 1914, in Obion County, daughter of the late Will and Drucy (Warix) Morton. She was the widow of Clay Franklin McCollum and was a member of Central Baptist Church in Martin. She had been employed at City Dry Cleaners and Copeland Cleaners in Martin.
Survivors also include two sons, Bobby McCollum of South Lyon, Mich.; and Cecil McCollum of Win-chester, Ill.; her daughter, Vera Owen of Martin; eight grandchildren, Kathy Pendergrast, Dennis Owen, Jerrie Owen, Ronnie Mc-Collum, Sandy Schlitters, Florance Southworth, Cecil McCollum Jr. and Mark McCollum; and 12 great-grandchildren.
