Masons to gather

Martin City Lodge No. 551 and Mt. Vernon Lodge No. 359 F&AM an opened installation on Dec. 30. A meal at 6 p.m., so bring a covered dish or dessert. Lodges will furnish the meats. Order Of Easter Star will help with the meal.

 

Christmas dinner is planned

A New Walk Of Faith Church Of God, located at 400 Main St., Martin, will be hosting a community Christmas dinner at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 26. There will also be a free clothes give away. For more information call Pastor Charlie F. Harper at 487-9792.

 

Chamber makes it easy to get 

business advice

Erik Markin, Regional Entrepreneurship and Economic Development Center/Tennessee Small Business Development Center consultant, will help aspiring entrepreneurs and existing business owners with business advice from 9-noon, Jan. 6, at the Weakley County Chamber of Commerce. 

Markin recently joined the TSBDC after spending five years in the financial industry and owning and operating two small businesses. He will be giving advice about business planning, financing options, marketing, customer service, cash flow and other issues. The consultations are one-on-one, confidential and free.
