NY Eve events set
Rutherford First Baptist Church will have a New Year’s Eve Game Night  beginning at 9.
The event will feature games and snacks.
At midnight, participants will be invited to gather in the sanctuary for prayer.
“Everyone is invited to join us,” a spokesman said.

Friday service set
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Hickman, Ky., will host Christmas Eve services at 4 p.m. The church is located at 611 Church St.
The community is invited to attend.

To share communion
Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church, located at 631 East Church St., will observe Christmas Eve communion at 5 p.m. The community is invited to attend.

Communion service set
The congregation of Union City First United Methodist Church, located at 420 East Church St., will rejoice in the fulfillment of God’s promise of a Savior with a Christmas Eve communion service at 6 p.m. The community is invited to attend.
The Rev. Stan Waldon and associate pastor the Rev. Scott Smyth and the congregation will welcome their friends and neighbors  for this special worship event.

Celebrating Christmas
Zion United Methodist Church, located in the Zion-Cloverdale community, will celebrate Holy Communion on Christmas Eve at 5 p.m.
The Rev. Richard Carruth and the congregation invite the community to attend.
The will be no Sunday school or worship service Sunday.

Candlelight service planned for Friday
A Christmas Eve community-wide candlelight service is planned for 6 p.m. at Union City First Baptist Church, which is located at 500 East Church St.
The service will feature music and communion.

Lutherans to celebrate
Faith Lutheran Church in Union City will have a Christmas Eve service with holy communion, beginning at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, there will be a Christmas Day service at 10 a.m.
The church is located at 2012 East Reelfoot Ave., across from the Coca-Cola Bottling Co.
The congregation extends a warm welcome to all those who wish to join them and celebrate the birth of Christ.
