Pansy Permilla (Plunk) Christopher, 84, of Adamsville, mother of Lori (Christopher) Hendon of Union City, died Oct. 10, 2010, at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Shackelford Funeral Home in Adamsville, with Bill McCall and Danny Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Adamsville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5:30-9 p.m. today at the funeral home in Adamsville.
She was born Sept. 12, 1926, in McNairy County, daughter of the late Gilbert Spencer and Rosie Athlea (Smallwood) Plunk. She married Warren G. Christopher, who died April 25, 2002. She was a retired employee of the former Jetricks Corp. in Selmer and was a member of Purdy Presbyterian Church.
Survivors also include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Danny Christopher, Jerry and Belinda Christopher and Ron and Betty Christopher, all of Adamsville; her son-in-law, Kevin Hendon of Union City; two sisters, Mary Bess Tidwell of Selmer and Dottie Dancer of Adamsville; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Billy Earl Christopher; and two sisters-in-law, Wanda Plunk and Sandra Ruth Plunk.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Travis Plunk and Peatie Plunk; and her sister, Bonnie (Plunk) Christopher.
