James Edward “Jim” Satterfield, 79, of Fulton and Yuma, Ariz., died 2:58 p.m. Oct. 9, 2010, in Fulton.
Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton, with the Rev. Gerald Barnes officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday.
The family requests that memorials be made to Lourdes Hospice, 2855 Jackson St., Paducah, KY 42003.
He was born April 7, 1931, in Clinton, Ky., son of Ella Marie (Wolberton) Satterfield of Water Valley, Ky., and the late James R. Satterfield. He was married to the former Betty Lindlow for 59 years and was a former resident of Water Valley. He was a retired policeman who had worked in Peoria, Ill., and a retired corporate pilot. He played and sang in several area churches and made Fulton his summer home.
Survivors also include his son and daughter-in-law, James and Beverly Satterfield of San Diego; his daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Michael Barrett of Berkley, Calif.; his granddaughter, Tiffany Brown of Indiana; and his sister, Shirley Resler of Salt Lake City.
