County meeting set

The Obion County Legislative Body will meet 9 a.m. Oct. 18 in the Circuit Courtroom at the Obion County Courthouse.
Items on the agenda include the approval of minutes from the September 2010 meeting; action on a motion from the Budget Committee concerning the voting procedure for the legislative body; consideration of an “Interlocal Agreement for County-wide Fire Protection”; a report from the Hudgins Road Study Committee; approval for the renewal of the Industrial Board’s Spec Building Promissory Note Agreement; action on a resolution to authorize an application for the USDA grant funds for the library ($2,883); action on a resolution to authorize an application for a NACCHO-MRC grant ($5,000); consideration of an inmate pay phone service agreement; and approval of Notary Public applications.
Boards and committees for the November term include the Everett-Stewart Regional Airport Board (now serving, Dr. Chris Gooch and David James); and a Civil Service Board (now serving, Donnie Noles).
The meeting is open to the public.
