Miss McCrea to wed Walsh on Oct. 16

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Ashton Jade McCrea of Rives and Benjamin Kent Walsh of Martin are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gene McCrea of Rives. She is the granddaughter of Willie Bea Clary and the late Emmett Clary of Paris and Sam and Anna McCrea of Colville, Wash.
She graduated from Obion County Central High School 2006 and is enrolled at the University of Tennessee at Martin.
The groom-elect is the son of Eric and Carol Walsh of Spokane, Wash., and the late Bonnie Kent Walsh of Lithia Springs, Ga. He is the grandson of Mary Katherine Cole of Douglasville, Ga., the late James Eric Walsh, Louise Kent of Union City, Ga., the late Tyrus Cobb Kent, Barbara Flowers of Troy and the late Leon Flowers.
He graduated from Seminole High School in Seminole, Texas, in 2006.
The couple will wed at 3 p.m. Oct. 16 at the McCrea residence in Rives. A reception will follow at Celebration Centré in Union City.
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the reception site.
