Selling tasty meals
Friendship Free Will Baptist Church, located at 1304 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Union City, will be selling plate lunches Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. Diners may select fried fish or chicken. The plates will also include white beans, cole slaw, spaghetti and corn bread for $6.
Desserts will be available for an additional charge.

Fish fry planned
Members of Anointed Church of the Living God will host a deacon board fund-raising fish fry Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m. at the church, located on South Miles Avenue. The menu will include fish, white beans, cole slaw, fries and a beverage.
Donations will also be gladly accepted, a spokesman said.
Both dine-in and take-out will be available.
Bishop Barbara Bolden is pastor.

Revival to begin
Pentecostal Tabernacle in Water Valley, Ky., will begin revival services Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. and continue through Oct. 27 at 7 each weekday evening.
The church is located at 16235 State Route 45 South.
The Rev. Larry McClure and the congregation invite the community to attend.

To mark anniversary
Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, located at 112 Roach St. in South Fulton, will celebrate the church’s 112th anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Reginald Purham and the New Sherron Baptist Church family of Collierville will be special guests.
The community is invited to attend.
The congregation will also be in revival Monday through Wednesday with teaching at 6 each evening and preaching at 7.
Dr. Dennis Blalock, pastor of New St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Jackson, will be the evangelist.
The Rev. Marvin Mercer Sr. in pastor.

Friend Day slated
Hornbeak Pentecostal Church, located at 258 West Main St., will celebrate Friend Day as part of the homecoming event Sunday. Services will begin at 10 a.m, with a noon meal and singing at 1 with The Dildines.

Gospel music featured
Bashan Baptist Church in Rives will host a gospel singing service Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The McKenzie Spiritualaires and others will be featured.
The Rev. Rozelle Dotstry and the church family invite the community to attend.

Celebrating anniversary
Emmanuel Church of God in Christ will honor their pastor, the Rev. Curtis McLendon, and his wife, Gloria, Sunday at 3:30 p.m. on their 15th anniversary in service at the church.
The event is planned for 809 Lake St. in Tiptonville.
The Rev. Linwood Dillard of Citadel Deliverance Ministries in Memphis will be the guest speaker.
