FOR THE DOGS — Union City After-school 4-H Club member Alexis Hughes (left), daughter of Brian and Angela Hughes, and club guests Trinity Wetzel (partially obstructed), daughter of Phillip and Carrie Wetzel, and Hope Kennedy, daughter of Pete and Lonna Kennedy, all of Union City, recently made Snickerpoodles dog cookies for the local animal rescue group Pudge-N-Pals. The club meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 4 p.m. in the meeting room of the Obion County Public Library. The club is open to all Union City school students and to home-schooled children in Obion County who are in third through eighth grades. For more information about the club, call Obion County University of Tennessee Extension Service agent Una (Baker) Johnson at 885-3742 or club volunteer Donna Ryder at 884-4188.
