Northwest Tennessee Economic Development Council, in cooperation with the United States Department of Agriculture, will be distributing commodity foods on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 13-14 at the Agency Central Office at 231 South Wilson St, Dresden. Distribution will be between the hours of 8 a.m.-noon. If your last name begins with A-K, you will come on Wednesday, Oct. 13 and if your name begins with L-Z, you will come on Thursday, Oct. 14.
Everyone picking up commodities must have a bright orange card. We will not take applications on the day the commodities are distributed. There will be no numbers given out before 7 a.m. Everyone is also asked to bring boxes.
Commodity distribution is a first-come, first-served based program. Please be aware that due to a shortage of inventory of some food that is one hand, you may not receive the same number of items as someone else in the event a food item runs out. NWTEDC is an EOE and does not discriminate in services to clients on the basis of race, creed, color, religion, age, national origin or disabilities.
