EMI Records Nashville’s Eric Church will perform at the Regional Special Events Center in Murray, Ky., Friday.
Known for his high energy live shows and his dedicated fans who call themselves the “Church Choir,” Church has been met with one rowdy crowd after another. With beers and/or boots in the air, the fans are singing along to every song, whether it be his Top 10 hits “Love Your Love The Most” and “Hell on the Heart” from his current album “Carolina” or the album cut “These Boots” from Church’s debut album, “Sinners Like Me.”
Church’s widely-praised sophomore effort, “Carolina,” debuted at No. 17 on Billboard’s Top 200 and No. 4 on the country charts and has yielded the singles “Love Your Love the Most,” “Hell on the Heart” and, currently, “Smoke a Little Smoke,” which is currently Top 30 and climbing on the Billboard and Mediabase country radio charts. Rolling Stone praised the album’s “surging guitars bolstering good-ol’-boy narratives” and The New York Times declared, “His music puts rock muscle behind honky-tonk and turns ballads into intimate close-ups.”
Carolina follows the breakthrough success of Church’s critically-acclaimed first effort, “Sinners Like Me,” which claimed three Top 20 singles and a No. 1 video. The album earned Church widespread praise from the Associated Press, Rolling Stone, People magazine and The New York Times.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets start at $23.75 and can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com
