Miss Madden to wed Russell in Mississippi

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Leslie Lynn Madden of New Albany, Miss., and Matthew Tyler Russell of Sikeston, Mo., are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Adam Martin Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lee Madden III, all of New Albany. Her grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Elmer Pinion Sr. of Lambert, Miss., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lee Madden Jr. of Doddsville, Miss.
She is a 2004 graduate of Ingomar High School in New Albany and a 2007 graduate of the University of Mississippi, where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in broadcast journalism with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in creative writing.
She is the buyer for My Favorite Shoes in Oxford, Miss.
The groom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Frank Russell of Blanchard, Okla. His grandparents are Freddye Garrett Oliver and the late Elwyn Morehead Oliver of Union City and Pearl Shelby Russell and the late Paul Franklin Russell of Kevil, Ky.
He is a 1998 graduate of Blanchard High School in Blanchard, Okla., and a 2004 graduate of the University of Tennessee, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in agriculture with an emphasis in economics. While at UT, he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity and served as philanthropy chairman.
He is employed as senior plant agronomist for Pioneer Hi-Bred in New Madrid, Mo.
The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m. Oct. 9 at First Baptist Church in New Albany, with Ricky Blythe officiating.
A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony at The Concord Inn near New Albany, home of Chris and Tanya Coombs.
All family and friends are invited to attend.
