Ruby Hodges Peacock

Mrs. Ruby Odessa Hodges Peacock, 96, of Dresden, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010 at Volunteer Community Hospital, Martin.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at North Winona Baptist Church, Winona, Miss. with Bro. John Lumbley officiating. Burial will be in Milligan Springs Cemetery, Kilmichael, Miss. with Bowlin Funeral Home of Dresden in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Peacock was born July 1, 1914 in Mingus, Palo Pinto County, Texas, daughter of the late William Morris and Lenore Belle Strahan Hodges. She was the widow of Johnie Erlin Peacock. She was a housewife and member of North Winona Baptist Church and an Eastern Star.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Ed Wayne and Roberta Peacock of Martin; two sisters, Olene Grantham of Lancaster, Calif. and Gelena Williams of Eupora, Miss.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, David Peacock, two sisters and two brothers.
