On Wednesday, our opening hymn was “Precious Lord, Take My Hand.”
Our youth and some adults went to the Seventh Seal concert at Pirates Creek Baptist Church.
Bro. Hugh stated that today was his sister, Ruth’s birthday. We hope she had a great day.
Our study tonight was from John 10:11-39.
Dana presented a chemo shawl made by Roxanna Smith to Barbara Riddle. We are thankful that she has just one more treatment before having surgery. She appreciates all the prayers that have been lifted up for her.
On this beautiful fall morning, the Lord blessed our class with a good attendance of eight. Our class is steadily growing. We have changed our class name to The Colossians 1:10 Class. Other classes have set some new goals for this new church year. The Lord is really blessing us for which we are very grateful!
Happy birthday this week to Chloe Jo Vaughn, Courtney Powers Vickery, Donna Nemyer, Ray Griffith, Sylas Hubble and a very special happy 93rd birthday to Ms. Rosie Buttrey!
In the worship hour, Ms. Grace Laws played, “Amazing Grace.”  Other hymns were, “I’ll Fly Away,” “Rock of Ages,” and “When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder.” Grace played for the offertory, “Oh, How I Love Jesus.” She is really doing good.
Bro. Kieth’s text was from Romans 8:35; Psalm 27:1-4; 23:6. If you are a Christian, there is absolutely nothing that can separate you from the love of God! We need to daily thank Him for our salvation! At the end of the service, we welcomed Dawn Dyer to our fellowship.
In the afternoon, some of us attended the homecoming service at Lynnville, Ky. Brotherly Love were the guest singers. If you get a chance to hear these guys, by all means go. They will bless your heart!
In the evening, we sang, “Are You Washed in the Blood?” “At the Cross,” “Nothing But the Blood,” and “The Old Rugged Cross.” Julie Baker sang, “God On The Mountain.” Robert sang, “The Anchor Holds.” Both were really good.
Our message tonight was rom Galatians 5:1; 1 Corinthians 16:3; Eph. 6:13; and Phil. 4:1. In this day, stand for the things of God and don’t base your salvation upon hear say. Get in the Word and Know!
Don’t forget that we have changed our Wednesday night service time to 6:30 pm.
Next Sunday after the morning service, children and adults will be going to the Martin Park for a picnic. Then on Wednesday, Oct. 6, the youth will be going to the Obion County Fairgrounds for a program presented by Calvary Baptist Church.
