New Salem Church celebrates 161 years

Members of the New Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church will hold its 161th anniversary and Homecoming on Sunday. The morning worship will begin at 11 a.m. preceded by Sunday school at 10 a.m. Everyone, including all former members, descendants of former members and community neighbors and friends are warmly invited to attend.  Morning worship will focus on praising God in music and song with the Bethel University Renaissance Bluegrass group sharing their musical talents with church members and guest during the morning worship and after lunch in the afternoon.
The potluck lunch will start at 12:30 p.m. to give visitors from neighboring churches time to arrive. The church meets between Sharon and Dresden on Highway 89.
