Wednesday night’s Bible Study, Bro. Kenneth’s message was in Exodus 25:31-40, the golden candlesticks in the Tabernacle and their significance. A type of Christ our light, shining in the fullness of the power of the Sevenfold Spirit (Isaiah 11:2 and Revelation 1:4). If you are not attending Bible study, we invite you to join us at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday.
Sunday morning worship began with Bobby leading in singing “I’ll Go With God.” Opening prayer and announcements were made by Bro. Kenneth. We had a time of fellowship and greeting, welcomed our visitors who were our special guests and are welcome back anytime. There were several absent today due to illness. Get well soon, you are missed.
The special worship in song was Bro. Kenneth, Jeri and Katy singing “I Can’t Walk Without Him Holding My Hand” and Janice singing “To God Be The Glory.”
Bro. Kenneth’s message, “The Impact Of Four Nails”, with scripture from Matthew 27:27-37. The first two in the nail-pierced hands of Jesus on the cross. The hand that had done so much for so many in His ministry while on earth. Also the nail in Jesus’ feet. God calls the church to be His feet and hands. Now, it’s the church’s’ responsibility as God works through us.
Are we following the footsteps of Jesus? How we view the cross is going to determine the impact of our life.
The invitation song was “Room At The Cross.” Several moves were made with one addition to the church. God bless you Jackie.
We extend our sympathy to Olene Robey in the death of her sister, Hilda Houston.
The evening message was “Be Still and Know,” with scripture from I Samuel 3:1-18. God rebukes Eli, Samuel called and becomes prophet-priest.
Thought of the week: Sometimes peace comes from saying no to good things in order to choose what is better.
