Bro. Bobby Peal opened morning service singing “Keep On The Firing Line.”  Edna Johle taught from 1 Peter 4:7 which says the end of all things is at hand:  be ye therefore sober and watch unto prayer.  Having the mind of Christ and a servants heart are key elements of a committed Christian life.  Ashlyn Hagye helped lead “What A Mighty God” and “He’s A Big God.”   Mary led “As The Deer Panteth” and “He Abides.”  Prayer requests were made and prayed over.  Nickie Hampton sang “Come Morning,” Russell Cherry sang “When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder,” Patsy Baker sang “He’s In The Midst” and Bro. Bobby sang “Every Hour.”  Bro. Bobby titled his me
sage “Playing Around With Sin”, and took his text from James 1:13 when tempted no one should say, “God is tempting me”.  For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone. You can enjoy your kinship with Christ as we are all family; we are blood kin bought by the blood of Jesus.  Every Christian has a job to do whether it be greeting people with a smile and a handshake as they come in the doors of your church, playing an instrument, singing a special, reading a poem, whatever your talent that God has given you, use it for the Lord.
Our evening service was opened with Mary leading “My Wonderful Lord,” “We Have Come Into His House” and “To God Be The Glory.”  Faye Peal started our praise and worship service singing “It Is Me,” followed by Russell and Gladys Cherry singing “Vision Of Heaven,” Nickie Hampton sang “This Is What Heaven Means To Me,” Harvey Dildine sang “I’ll Fly Away,” after which prayer requests were again taken and Bro. Cherry prayed over them.  Shirley Bynum and Mary sang “The King Is Coming.” When Jesus answers our petitions it is usually beyond what we ask.
We closed service with many testimonies of how God has blessed everyone with His presence and answered prayers.
