Larry Kenneth “Sissy” Marlar, 65, of Union City died Sept. 29, 2010, at his home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Dr. Matthew Wohlfarth officiating. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 this evening.
Pallbearers will be Chad Wherry, Chip Wherry, Jason Wherry, David L. Sergerson, Davy B. Sergerson and Brannon Black.
The family requests that memorials be made to Obion County Hometown Walk of Hope.
He was born Dec. 29, 1944, in Lake County, son of the late William Lee Marlar and the late Evelyn (Meeks) Williams. He married the former Lois Ann Terry April 12, 1974. She survives. He was a retired cattleman with the former Botts Livestock Co., where he worked for more than 38 years.
He is also survived by his daughter, Tamara Marlar-Morton of Union City; three grandsons, Ian Andrew Ferguson, Evan Christopher Ferguson and Tristan Monroe Marlar, all of Union City; two brothers, Grady “Bo” Marlar and Charles William Marlar, both of Union City; and several nieces and nephews.
