An early morning traffic stop on Veterans Drive in Paris Friday has lead to the arrest of 36-year-old Jody Alan Ferguson of Dresden.
According to the Paris PI, Ferguson was taken into custody that morning for multiple drug charges by Paris Police Ptl. Jamie James and Adam Prince.
The officers reportedly stopped the black Chevy pick-up truck that Ferguson was a passenger in because the driver of the vehicle wasn’t wearing a seat belt and a brake light was out.
After a request to search the vehicle was granted, officers allegedly uncovered several bags containing more than 50 grams of hallucination-inducing mushrooms, a pipe with marijuana residue and drug paraphernalia.
Ferguson reportedly admitted that the items were his. A search of his person uncovered a container with Oxycodone, Diazepam, Amphetamine and Carisoprodol pills, according to the Paris PI.
Ferguson’s cell phone and $406 was confiscated during booking.
He is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday (today) in Henry County General Sessions Court.
