Fund raiser planned

Sidonia Baptist Church on Highway 89 between Sharon and Kenton will host an event called “Kids Gone Wild” Oct. 16 from 4-9 p.m. as a fundraiser for Sidonia Volunteer Fire Department.
Events will take place on the side lot of the church and will include a horseshoe tournament, a volleyball tournament, an air jump game for children and stage performances by Stormy Montana of Dresden from 4-4:45 p.m., Nuthin Fancy of Fulton from 5-6:15 p.m. and Thorns of Glory of Dyersburg from 6:30-7:45 p.m.
Sudden Thoughts, featured on several local radio stations with their debut single, “Don’t Tell Me,” will appear from 8-9.
Alcohol will not be allowed.
Cheeseburgers, beverages and desserts will be offered for sale and there will be a raffle for a quilt, with chances selling for $1 for a ticket and $3 for five tickets.
Other surprises are also planned, a spokesman said.
