Escapee caught

CHATTANOOGA (AP) — Chattanooga police have captured an escapee in a wooded area more than 24 hours after he fled in handcuffs from the police center.
A police statement said officers used thermal imaging equipment and a K-9 to find Terrell Harper early Tuesday. He was still cuffed and wearing the same clothes he had on when he dashed out of the police center following his arrest Sunday. Officers said they arrested Harper after watching him rob a customer at a bank ATM machine.
Before his capture early Tuesday, Harper had approached a passing motorist and asked for help, but he fled after the person noticed the handcuffs and offered to call 911.
