About 270 Gibson Electric Membership Corp. customer-owners in the Polk Station community near Troy experienced an electrical outage early this morning.
The outage started at 4:50 a.m. and power was restored at 5:50 a.m. It was caused by equipment failure, according to Gibson EMC spokesman Rita Alexander, vice president of human resources and communications.
