Earl George Hecker, 69, of Union City died Sept. 24, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Graveside services were 10 a.m. Saturday at Antioch Cemetery in the Crystal community, with George Hickman officiating. Family members served as pallbearers.
White-Ranson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He was born Jan. 4, 1941, in Chicago, son of the late George Hecker and the late Evelyn Pow. He married the former Winnie Ruth (Reid) Johnson March 30, 1969. She survives. He was an employee of Barker Brothers Waste Co., where he worked for 25 years, and was a member of First Street Church of Christ in Union City.
He is also survived by two stepdaughters, Melba McGinnis of Union City and Glenda Olson of Woodridge, Ill.; his stepson, Thomas Johnson of Union City; 10 step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Marvin Pow; two stepdaughters, Teresa Jean Johnson and Brenda Kay Johnson; and two great-grandsons, Ricardo Ochoa and Timothy Quillions.
