2 VT companies hope to set mac and cheese record

BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — Two Vermont businesses are hoping to set a record by creating the world’s largest-ever dish of macaroni and cheese.
WCAX-TV reports Cabot Creamery and King Arthur Flour are gathering in New Orleans on Thursday with the goal of cooking 2,100 pounds of pasta in a giant cast iron kettle.
Cabot Creamery is providing the cheese and King Arthur Flour is supplying the flour.
The goal is to break the Guinness World Record. The pasta will be sold to raise money for several nonprofits in the New Orleans area.
