Volunteer fair set for Sept. 30

WCP 9.21.10 Connecting the region’s service organizations with student volunteers and faculty seeking potential partnerships will be the focus of a Service-Learning and Volunteer Fair, Sept. 30, at the University of Tennessee at Martin.
Sponsored by the Department of Behavioral Sciences and the Institute for Civic Engagement, the event is slated for 10 a.m.-2 p.m., in Boling University Center.
The fair is an opportunity for faculty to identify potential community partnerships for service-learning or community projects, and students will have an opportunity to talk with representatives of community organizations for possible volunteer service.
Community partners participating in the fair are from Martin and the West Tennessee region.
