Posted: Tuesday, September 21, 2010 7:25 am ROLLING OUT OF BED — A team from Riley’s Graphics sprinted toward the finish line on East Church Street as they won the fourth annual bed race Saturday afternoon during CornFest activities in downtown Union City. The team was one of five that competed in the unique event, which drew a large crowd of spectators to cheer for their favorites. The day featured a full slate of events for both children and adults, including a fun run, a pet parade, a creative chair silent auction, pumpkin decorating, Tyson’s community feed, the bed races, a cornhole tournament, corn eating, corn shucking, the CornFest Idol contest and the Run for the Pig. CornFest will wind down this week with Appalachian music and storytelling at 6 Thursday night at the Obion County Public Library and with the BBQ “Corn”test Friday and Saturday at the Obion County Fairgrounds.
