Lael SS Class has meeting

Lael Sunday School Class met at Union City First Baptist Church family life  center recently.
President Faye Passmore presided and led the group in the Pledge of Faith, which was entitled “Believing in God.”
She then asked for those that needed prayer  and several names were mentioned.   Jessie White led in prayer. 
The class project for the month was to  give certificates to the Double B Boys Ranch in Millington. Rep-resentatives of the ranch will be at the church Sept. 29  for the Christmas in September program.  
Dot Capps brought the devotional, “Internally Important,” which was taken from Proverbs 16:24. 
She also read a poem and Mrs. Passmore led in prayer.
Mrs. Passmore was the hostess and served cake, ice cream, party mix and fruit tea. Next month’s hostess wil be Edna McIntosh.
Those attending were Lena Mai Pruitt, Pat Cunnigham, Edna McIntosh, Ms. White, Joyce Stephens, Ms. Capps, Dorothy Rasberry, Trudie Thornton and Mrs. Passmore.
Members enjoyed playing Mexican Train after the meeting.
