Railroad Museum presents program

“The Illinois Central Railroad Remembered” is the title of a program to be presented at the Twin Cities Railroad Museum in South Fulton, on Saturday, Sept. 18, at 2 p.m.  The program will present photographs of the Illinois Central Railroad taken throughout western Tennessee and Kentucky from the 1950s to the early 1970s.  Numerous photographs of steam locomotives in action will be included, along with photographs of famed passenger trains such as the “City of New Orleans” and “Panama Limited”.  The program will be presented by local author Cliff Downey, who has published six books, including four on the Illinois Central Railroad.  More information about this program can be obtained by calling (731) 636-0331 or gmo291@yahoo.com.
The Twin Cities Railroad Museum is located in the South Fulton City Hall Annex at 700 Milton Counce Drive.  Hours are Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m.  to 4 p.m.  Admission is free but donations are accepted.
