Meanwhile, South Fulton wasn’t as fortunate on the prep soccer field Tuesday, falling to Covington 5-1.

Mandi McDaniel recorded a hat trick with three goals for Central on Tuesday afternoon.
Additionally, Page Hicks scored twice for OC, while Brooke Jennings, Madi Bell, Kelsey Jackson, Katie Speed and Whisper Gardiner each had one goal for the victors.
The Lady Rebels travel to Gibson County on Thursday evening.
All totaled, Obion Central has eight regular-season games remaining.
Next Tuesday, OC hosts Westview, while the county locals travel to Jackson Northside on Sept. 23. Central plays at South Fulton Sept. 27. The Lady Rebels entertains McKenzie on Sept. 28.
Trenton comes to town on Oct. 5, while OC is at Dyer Co. on Oct. 7. The Lady Rebels close the regular season on Oct. 12 against Gibson County in Troy.
The girls’ soccer playoffs begin on Oct. 18.
Covington 5, SF 1
Lexi Johnson booted the only goal for the Devilettes (2-5-0) on Tuesday.
SF trailed 3-0 at intermission.
South Fulton has four regular season games remaining before the postseason.
The Devilettes play at Gibson County on Monday and host McKenzie on Tuesday.
SF entertains OC on Sept. 27 in the previously-mentioned county matchup.
The Devilettes close the 2010 regular season on Oct. 4 with a home outing against Trenton.
