The 17th annual Hickman Pecan Festival in Kentucky will be headlined this year by “Memories of Conway,” featuring Micheal Twitty, the oldest son of the country music legend.
Twitty has performed the show, dedicated to his father, all over the United States, Europe and Japan.
The “Memories” show features the history of Conway Twitty, including songs such as “Hello Darlin’,” “Make Believe” and “Tight Fittin’ Jeans.”
Opening for Twitty will be Stephen Pride, the younger brother of country music star Charley Pride.
Pride recently released his first album and has toured with Willie Nelson and Johnny Rodriguez, along with a recent appearance at the Grand Ole Opry with Charley, which received a standing ovation.
The festival will also feature a barbecue cook-off, vendors and children’s activities, along with many other acts on stage during the day, including “Bootcut” and “Lloyd Bradley and the Midnight Rangers” from Obion County.
Music and activities begin Saturday morning at Jeff Green Memorial Park in Hickman.
