Vivian (Reedy) Clayton, 92, of the Mount Olive community near Union City died Sept. 10, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Services were 2 p.m. Sunday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Walt Asher and Dr. Bobby Williams officiating. Burial followed in Mount Olive Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Lane Barnes, Randy Barnes, Cleo Barnes, Kevin Barnes, Allen Cleek and Tommy Cleek. Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Dugger, Darrell Dugger, Donald Dugger, John Dugger, Charles Dugger, David Dugger, Nicky Barnes and Genie Barnes.
The family requests that memorials be made to Antioch Union Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.
She was born April 17, 1918, in Obion County, daughter of the late Fred and Alader (Easterwood) Barnes. She married Cecil V. Clayton Aug. 12, 1933. He died Sept. 3, 1958. She was a homemaker and a member of Antioch Union Church in the Crystal community and Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include her daughter, Allie Katherine Bone of the Crystal community; three sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Suzanne Clayton of Springville, Cecil W. and Judy Clayton of Murray, Ky., and Lacy F. and Shelia Clayton of Union City; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Ada Martha Cleek of Crystal; and two brothers, Jimmy Barnes of Crystal and John Matt Barnes of Union City.
She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Crabtree, Verna Dugger and Mozelle Barnes; and her brother, Lacey Barnes.
