Completed arrangements are being announced for the Rev. Herman Joseph “Joe” Lattus, 78, of Cordova, a former resident of Hickman, Ky., who died Sept. 9, 2010, in Hickman. He had served as priest at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Union City.
Services were set for 10:30 a.m. today at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with interment following in Hickman City Cemetery. The Rev. Monsignor Kirk was to officiate and pallbearers were to be Don Lattus, David Lattus, Phil Roof, James Coffey, Frank Canale and Tom Cleveland. Honorary pallbearers were to be 4th degree Knights of Columbus No. 2338 St. John’s Parish.
The family requests that memorials be made to Notre Dame Seminary, 2901 South Carrollton Ave., New Orleans, LA 70118-4391.
Strong Funeral Home in Hickman was in charge of arrangements.
He was also a former FBI agent and a U.S. Army veteran who earned the rank of captain.
Survivors include three brothers, Frederick Lattus of Curdsville, Ky., and John Louis Lattus and William Lawrence Lattus, both of Apple Valley, Calif.; and his sister, Anita Youree of Hickman.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, John and Pauline (Neal) Lattus; and two sisters, Rose Calista Harrison and Sister Elizabeth Ann Lattus.
